A livelier scene of the pond at Sefton Park on a warm day. It was full of people and birds enjoying the sunshine, with swans and ducks gliding past and light constantly moving across the water. Painting water was its own kind of challenge, since it never sits still, and getting the ripples and reflections right took a long time, but it’s one of my favourite pieces to have stuck with.
